It was such an honor to meet and paint this wonderful woman and politician. I really admire her wisdom, unjudgmental nature and ability for compromise. She was a “Liberal lion and a true trailblazer. Political life will be poorer without her intellect, her wisdom and her generosity”.

She deeply believed in the power and importance of education, beauty and art as a radical hope to enhance our spirit and build a future of peace, justice and freedom.

The painting is now hung at the prestigious Somerville Oxford College where Baroness Shirley Williams went on to nurture her young mind.
